We stayed here for a family vacation and it was great. Location was perfect - very close to St. Augustine. Covered deck with gates and rails was perfect for the twin toddler grandchildren. View from the back was awesome. It was practically an interstate for dolphins. Would definitely use Vacation Rental Pros again.

I loved the covered back porch overlooking the ocean. We saw dolphins and watched ships in the distance, got to see an awesome moon rise and enjoyed our week immensely. The outside shower is amazing with hot water and a gorgeous view of the ocean. The master bedroom has no privacy with shutters that open to the living room, A1A is very loud and there are lots of stairs, but everything else was amazing.
Beach Time In Ponta Vedra

This house is a great stay. It's not the fanciest but was clean, well outfitted with cooking gear, towels, chairs, fishing poles, boogie boards, kids toys, etc and the location is without compare. The views from the living room are great- even from the couch you can see the ocean. The porch/ boardwalk was great as well. You didn't even have to hit the beach to be at the beach. It was a little tight space wise with 6 adults and two small children but we definitely made it work- even the one day we got rained out entirely. The downstairs/garage is great for an extra sleeping area- it's not fancy but after 10 hours of sunny beach it was cold and quiet so I thought it was great. There is an extra fridge downstairs (accessible from porch) which was great for drinks and we didn't have to go in the main house all wet and beachy. Hint: bring a chrome cast or DVDs because the cable is limited. Still, if you are going to the beach to watch TV you are on the wrong vacation. This is a house for Dolphins, a close and pretty beach, and easy access to St. Augustine. Anyway- good time, good house in the best possible sense of Florida beach bungalow. A little small but cozy, functional, and friendly.
Wonderful week at Beach

Had a very relaxing week. Great location. Easy drive to Vilano and St Augustine. Close to very good restaurant's. Do not miss Caps. Great stretch of Beach not crowded at all. Wonderful for walking. Watched sunrise and dolphins every morning on a well equipped covered deck. Only problem was that the wireles router died but was promptly fixed by the efficient staff. A lightening surged knocked out the HDTV but we were not watching a lot of TV anyway. Overall an excellent experience. The downstairs bathroom and bedroom is in the garage and comfortable. The people there have to go outside and up stairs to get to the main area. The kids did not care

This rental is a great beach bungalow. The deck and proximity to the ocean is fantastic. The house needs to be updated, such as the couch, the appliances and some repairs and deep cleaning. However, the beds are comfortable and it's a very dog friendly, private, and relaxing rental.

Property was small, but well set up. It was clean and neat. The deck was especially nice with a good barbecue pit.

The house has a perfect porch and it's proximity to the beach is wonderful. The house itself needs some updating. Living room couch is very uncomfortable and the white pillows dirty. Appliances could also be updated. Loved it's location to St Augustine. Property managers took care of any problems we had within a day .
Great location... Needs little updating

Location could not be better, close to St Augustine and Jacksonville . The beach is beautiful and the deck and walk over are where we spent most of our time. The common living area needs some updating. Living area furniture less than comfortable and not clean. The stove/oven combo out dated and at least 25 degrees off in the oven . Bunk bed room fine for small kids but not for older ones.
All else fine (plan on bottled water). TV's in bed rooms just for video. enjoyed being at the beach even with the miss steps.

My 3 sisters and I rented Turtle Dunes for my mom's 70th birthday celebration. We met there from various states. The house was just perfect for us....clean, well stocked kitchen, great location....fabulous porch looking out over the ocean.

Nice Beach Bungalow

We had a blast at Turtle Dunes. The place is a beach bungalow. It could use some updating. There is no tub in the unit and you have to go outside to access the downstairs bedroom. The view and the closeness to the water makes up for any short comings the place has. We would gladly stay there again.

As a repeat renter of Turtle Dunes....I love this place! Searched this area for hours first time renting to accommodate all our/my needs. Nice large covered deck overlooking the beach with fewest number of stairs(bad knees), I found it all here! There were days I didn't/couldn't deal with the stairs, this didn't stop me from watching my family enjoy the surf and sand while taking in the ocean breeze in the shade. I spend majority of my week on this porch, very disappointed it had been neglected (green algae build up under canopy, so disgusting I almost cleared the deck and cleaned it myself). Cozy house with comfortable beds, but please get rid of that 's uncomfortable and filthy, I don't sit on it and cover it for my family to use. And for the cost of cleaning fee....place could have been cleaner, not to my standards (needs a deep cleaning). Although great having new septic/drain field...needs to be mowed, not appealing upon arrival to see grass knee high (nor to potential 1st time renters) oh....and it could use a few large trash cans with lids...and recycle bins.
Always a pleasure speaking to Linda Mann @ VRP ....she's goes above and beyond to make sure our vacay is the best...thanks Linda! Hopefully this charming little place gets the TLC that it deserves so we can come back next year....fortunately I live close enough to check it out before renting... and I will! I love this place ....please take care of it!

Except for the weather, it was most enjoyable including the wonderful view. The sofa was very attractive until you sat on it. Generally, it was like sitting on a rack. Need larger cushions. We will return and hopefully the sofa situation has changed.

Our girls' getaway at Turtle Dunes was fantastic-- beautiful beach and a comfortable house to enjoy. Enjoyed the front porch with both covered and open areas. Kitchen was nicely outfitted. The enclosed outdoor hot/cold shower was an unexpected bonus! Location 15 minutes from St. A , easy for sightseeing and shopping, lunch or dinner out. Really was a wonderful spot, and we plan to return! Rental agency was quick to respond to questions before our trip; all perfect while we were there.

Most Fantastic View Imaginable

This was the cleanest beach house we have ever rented. I usually spent the first day cleaning but it was spotless. If I had to complain, it would be about the sofa which was somewhat soiled and not very comfortable. Everything else was great; well stocked kitchen and comfortable beds. Our son came down for a week and loved the apartment on the first floor. The rental company responded to our requests very quickly. We stayed in the house for over a month but never got to the point where the view was taken for granted.

Just What We Needed

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Turtle Dunes. The home was well maintained, fully stocked and comfortable with amazing ocean views from inside and out. The covered deck is spacious with plenty of seating and a good size sunning area. Best of all is the enclosed outdoor shower. From the deck, we saw a daily sunrise, dolphins, a steady stream of monarch butterflies and birds. The management company was stellar! They get my top rating for bringing over a key late at night after I accidently locked the door on my way to the deck. I would definitely recommend this unit and the rental agency. The only drawback was having double beds instead of queen-size for our guests, but it didn't dampen our wonderful vacation.
LOCATION IS INCREDIBLE!

The reason for our stay was to make my attending the Mayo Clinic at least seem not so stressful. The stay on the beach was incredible! Enough can't be said about the location which is very close to excellent restaurants like the Reef, and Caps. Both were great for lunch and dinner. Publix is only about a 10 min drive and they have all the beach accessories like flip flops, great beach wear etc if needed. St. Aug. is only ten mins as well. The views form the kitchen and livingroom are the best! The house is the most stocked house we have ever stayed in for a vacation rental. bogey boards, books for kids, gas grill (must fill tank at Publix $18), many pots and pans etc. There is only one full bath and although it does not have a tub, the shower is large enough to have an adult shower a small child together. the deck is shaded from sun and light rain, and also has sun at the end. The deck is large enough for kids to play and it is gated all around so I would bring my grandson next time who is 3. The master has a small half bath for those night trips to the bathroom, but if you are a little round you may not be able to close the door when inside. The overall score of three was based on the furniture being a little too soiled, and the bathroom being so very tiny in the master. Other than that it was a very nice experience.

Another Great Family Vacation
Reviewed on Tuesday, April 9, 2013
Although this was not the original property that we rented it still met most of our needs. WiFi did not work at all in the house, therefore I did not get the last minute emails that were sent. I've rented other houses in Florida and the beds were always made, I called twice thinking we had no sheets and was told that someone would call, no one ever did. Finally the third call and the girl said check the closets, we found them tucked in corners of the closets(not very visual). I wished there was something at the house as a guide of what was expected of us. There were kids videos still in the wrapper (could we use those?), things like that we didn't know if we were able to use. Overall our family had a great time, we saw dolphins off the deck, went searching for crabs at night, shopped at St. Augustine, and fed the dolphins at Marineland.
