Sunswept Cottage Manor, 5 Bedrooms, Sleeps 11
Sunswept Cottage Manor lets you vacation with another family while still maintaining your privacy and independence. Located just 2 blocks from the beach and the Gulf of Mexico, it consists of 2 units, each with its own entrance, great room, and kitchen. You can hang out together on the shared deck and in the shady yard. But while the dining area in unit A is large enough to accommodate the whole group, you can also have meals on your own when you want.
All told, Sunswept Cottage Manor can sleep 11 people. Unit A has 3 bedrooms: The master has a king-size bed, while the other 2 feature queen-size beds. In addition, the great room includes a futon that can sleep 1 more. Each of the 2 bedrooms in unit B has a queen-size bed. All 5 bedrooms have their own HDTV, ample storage, a ceiling fan, and serene, comfortable furnishings.
The great rooms in each unit are spacious and sunny, with generous windows that look out toward the beach and tiled floors that will feel fabulous under bare feet. Both rooms have TVs with cable and seating you’ll love sinking into. The living area of unit A is especially large: The whole gang can hang out together after a day of everyone doing his or her own thing. The same is true of the dining area. The table easily seats 6, while 5 more can sit at the adjacent breakfast bar.
The kitchens of both units are fully equipped, with everything from a full-size refrigerator/freezer and oven/stove to a dishwasher and a microwave to cookware and tableware. You will fall in love with the newly renovated countertops in both kitchens. Even if you eat most of your meals at the numerous nearby restaurants, you’ll love the convenience of having refrigerators to keep wine and juice boxes cold, coffeemakers for your morning cup of joe, and microwaves so that you can make popcorn for movie night. What’s more, Sunswept Cottage Manor has a charcoal grill outside, just the thing for cooking your catch of the day… or chicken and burgers from the grocery store.
Not only can you cook outdoors, but you can dine alfresco too. Sunswept Cottage Manor has 2 screened-in balconies. The larger one is furnished with a full-size dining table; the smaller balcony includes a table for 2. Both have ceiling fans so that you can keep cool on even the steamiest summer days. There’s something magical about sitting out among the salt-tinged sea air, listening to the breeze rustle through the leafy palm trees as songbirds chirp and pelicans and falcons swoop across the seemingly endless sky.
Sunswept Cottage Manor’s other amenities include free WiFi, a washer and dryer, a rec room with foosball, and plenty of parking, both in the garage and in the driveway. The kids will love having a sizable yard to play in—if they’re not too tuckered out from their days at the beach, that is.
Fort Myers Beach has long been considered one of the country’s safest and best, thanks in part to the calm, relatively shallow waters of the gulf and the velvety sand. You can stroll the entire length of the island on its white sands, and if you look out toward the gulf while doing so, you’re liable to see dolphins and even manatees frolicking alongside the boats.
When you’re not swimming, canoeing, kayaking, parasailing, or shell collecting, there’s lots more to do close by. The island’s Times Square area is abuzz with shops, restaurants, and street performers; at Lovers Key State Park you can hike, bike, and fish among estuaries, wetlands, and mangroves. If you don’t want to drive to either destination, you can hop on the trolley that runs up and down the length of the island.
Sunswept Cottage Manor has a minimum stay of 1 week, but that’s barely enough time to experience everything Fort Myers Beach has to offer. See for yourself; book your stay today!
