Ocean's Edge, 4 Bedrooms, Ocean Front, Pet Friendly, Sleeps 8
Perched on the pink sands of Ponte Vedra Beach, Ocean’s Edge is your perfect beach getaway. This retro-style bungalow offers LCD TV in each bedroom, 2 master suites, a fireplace, a huge oceanfront deck, and breathtaking views. Its location is just amazing!
Step out onto the big oceanfront deck, where you’ll find the perfect mix of sun and shade, not to mention splendid views of sand, sea, and sky! A private wooden boardwalk leads right from the deck over the dunes (look for turtles and rabbits!) and down to the beautiful sands of Ponte Vedra Beach. After your beachcombing, surf fishing, or boogie-boarding, step under the outdoor shower and leave the sand behind before settling onto the deck to dry off and enjoy the balmy air.
Stretch out in a lounge chair, get comfortable on the built-in bench, or dine alfresco at the casual table in the shade beneath the overhang. The deck is big enough for your whole group to enjoy some fresh salty air! The view is ever-changing and always beautiful, and the bird-watching is amazing – everything from the pelicans dive-bombing into the waves to catch fish to the exotic wildfowl of the dunes to the water birds that dance along the edge of the surf.
The deck will undoubtedly become your favorite spot at Ocean’s Edge, and there’s nothing like slipping out in the moments before the sun rises to watch the spectacular show on the horizon. You’ll feel as though you have a front-row seat to a rare natural wonder . . . and then it will happen all over again the next morning!
When it’s time to go inside, you’ll feel right at home in our A-frame great room, with vaulted ceilings, plenty of comfy seating, and a wood-burning fireplace. Beside the hearth you’ll find a large flat-screen TV to keep the kids entertained while the grown-ups prepare frosty drinks and tasty appetizers in the kitchen.
Both the eastern (beachfront) and western (sunset-facing) walls of the great room are filled with windows, so you never leave the views behind. This room can be flooded with light, and makes a great Sunday-morning place to read the newspaper, brew a big pot of coffee, and flip a few pancakes.
Speaking of sunny, the dining room is a glorious place to enjoy the ocean view and bask in the Florida sunshine. The long table for 8 sits in the morning sun, and there’s no more delightful way to wake up. Or, if you find you’re eating outdoors nearly every meal, use it as an activity center and set up a jigsaw puzzle on one end, a board game on the other. Everyone can stay together and chat as they play!
The kitchen at Ocean’s Edge is galley-style, but with a breakfast bar on one side and fully stocked cupboards and cabinets throughout. Whether you’re just reheating restaurant take-out or preparing a gourmet feast from scratch, you’ll find cookware, dishes, and utensils galore here. And our full-sized appliances are sparkling clean and in great working order, just waiting for your culinary touch! Stock on up groceries on your way into town and you’re good to go!
There are 4 bedrooms at Ocean’s Edge, each with its own bathroom and LCD TV. Two are master suites, with king-sized beds and ocean views; the other two each have 2 twin beds. All linens and towels are provided for every bed and bath here, as well as a washer and dryer to keep everything fresh. Pack light – you’re coming to a fully stocked house here!
Ocean’s Edge has a 2-car garage, plus parking space for 6 more. The Guana River State Park is right next door, a paradise for boating, fishing, hiking, and wildlife-viewing. Bring your kayak, fishing rods, and binoculars! Or, if golf, shopping, and dining out are more your style, you’ll find world-class links, great bargains, and delicious restaurants all very close by!
Ocean’s Edge is just 15 minutes from the St. Augustine airport, yet when you sit on the oceanfront deck listening to the waves crash and the birds call, you’ll feel worlds away from the hustle and bustle! It’s truly the best of both worlds. Book today!

Even though the house was a little rustic the location was wonderful. Walk out your front door right to the ocean. Suggestion would be to bring your own pillows. Also the couch although pretty was not comfortable. But even with these faults I would definitely rent it again .

Our family stayed at Ocean's Edge during the last week of July, and it was one of the most amazing vacations! Although the house is a bit dated, so are we and we didn't mind one bit. The layout is perfect, with four bedrooms and four baths. Two each on either side of the house with the kitchen and living space in the middle. The front of the house has a large open courtyard with a gate, and the back porch is huge with wrap-around benches and plastic chairs. There is also a table and chairs under a small covered area. The porch leads to a landing via four stairs, and another staircase that leads one to the beach. The fact that it is a pet friendly house sold us. Why leave your best friends at home when they are welcome?
On arrival, the property was clean, with fresh linen and towels. The location was very good, close to a grocery store and minutes from St. Augustine. The communication from Vacation Pros was excellent with reminders pertaining to check in, trash pick-up, phone numbers for problems, etc.
I would recommend this house to anyone who doesn't mind a few minor issues. A couple of table lamps didn't work, the stand-alone ice maker and the trash compactor didn't work, and neither did the ceiling fan in the kitchen. The shower thing on the back porch was broken and laying on the ground, but there was a hose that worked in place of it. The big lay-down plastic chairs on the back porch were cracked. However, those are just little things and they didn't affect the trip at all.
The positive things include excellent water pressure in the showers, an extra small refrigerator for drinks, ice cold air conditioning, a huge garage, and an incredible ocean view. I loved sitting on the back porch watching the dolphins swim in the surf and the pelicans dive for food. I loved feeling the ocean breeze on my face and hunting for shells. I loved that the beach was uncrowded, almost private. All in all, it was perfect for us, fabulous!

We love this house. This is the third time we have stayed here. It is so close to the water. The kids can go to the beach without us and we can see them from the house or porch. Love the way you have changed the steps going to the beach. I would love to stay here again .

We enjoyed everything about the home, and the layout of the rooms were perfect. The unit was well supplied with everything you could possible need. We all enjoyed the decks and being right on the beach. We would definitely plan another trip here.

The place met all our expectations. There was sufficient parking, the house had a great layout and finally the whether was excellent.

We loved the lay out of the house and the location. I would suggest replacements of the pots and pans; the non-stick coating was worn off. We also had no wifi but we didn't want to be disturbed with computer info from work! We are considering reserving a week again for next year.
Ocean's Edge is the Edge of Heaven

This location can not be beat! The nature preserve is outside your front door, and the ocean is outside your back door. The Publix in Vilano Beach is just a few mies away and the house is very convenient to St Augustine without being in the middle of all the hustle and bustle. The house floor plan is perfect for 2 families. It is dated, but very comfortable. This was our second time staying here, and it feels like our house. Our only complaints were that the kitchen could be better stocked...a decent can opener please! There is an ice maker and a trash compactor that do not work. Loved having the extra little fridge for drinks. One restroom has calcium build up in the water valve and would not fill the tank. We would turn the valve off and back on to make it run. There are a few soft spots in the floor as well. But all in all, the house was very clean and comfortable. It is our favorite family vacation spot by far!

I have been in many rentals. Ocean's Edge was the cleanest. For an older home it was well maintained. If I go to St. Augustine again, I would stay here.

Loved 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. Nicely furnished. Ocean view beautiful. Convenient to St. Augustine. Kitchen could use up dating. Under counter appliances did not work (e.g. trash compactor, compact refrigerator). Large dining room table great for cards and crafts. Appreciated free WiFi, house telephone and TVs in living room and all bedrooms.

Great ocean view. There for Mayo Clinic tests with my husband, so kids could enjoy the ocean while we were at the hospital every day. We could decompress on the back porch every evening.Furniture showing some wear and tear, but beds very comfortable.
