Dolphin Dunes, 4 Bedrooms, Ocean Front, Wireless Internet. Sleeps 8
Vilano Beach House
At Dolphin Dunes Beach House, you’ll feel as if you’re in command of your personal beach. You can stroll via the private boardwalk from the patio to the soft sands of Ponte Vedra Beach in an instant, and from the expansive second-story deck--as well as from many of the rooms!--you can relish panoramic views of the beach, the Atlantic Ocean, and the endless skies.
The second-story deck is, in fact, one of our favorite places, and we think it will be yours too. Running the considerable width of the house, it’s furnished with chairs, loungers, and tables; because it’s covered, you can laze out there to escape from the midday sun while still listening to the murmur of the waves and reveling in the fresh salt-tinged breeze.
The deck is large enough to fit the whole gang and then some--and given that Dolphin Dunes sleeps 8 people, that’s plenty large! Just as spacious and accommodating is the living room, which opens onto the deck and enjoys the same glorious views. As well as seating galore--those roomy sofas were made for stretching out on!--there’s a desk where you can set up your laptop to take advantage of the free wifi, and a 48" smart HDTV. If you’re vacationing with kids, before you go to bed one night, cue up Frozen and let them wake up as early as they like to watch it while you and the other adults snooze for another few hours. Everyone’s happy!
The open plan of the common area means that the dining room and kitchen aren’t cut off from the living room. This makes it easy to keep an eye on the little ones while you’re preparing a meal or lingering at the table. It also means that whatever you’re doing, you can still gaze out at the ocean.
The dining table seats 8 with ease, and there’s an adjacent breakfast bar that seats 5. Whether you plan to host full-scale dinner parties or simply heat up leftovers from the previous night’s restaurant meal (and there are plenty of nearby restaurants to choose from!), you’ll find the kitchen has everything you need, from a full-size refrigerator/freezer to the all-important coffeemaker. Cookware and tableware are supplied as well; all you have to bring is the food and your appetite!
Dolphin Dunes Beach House has 4 bedrooms, so everyone has a great place to stretch out for the night. Three of the bedrooms feature queen-size beds, and the 4th has a bunk bed with a double bed and single bed, so you can sleep up to 3 kids in there. There are 2 full bathrooms on the 2nd floor, as well as a 3rd full bath on the ground floor. All the bedrooms and bathrooms will have fresh bedding and towels waiting for you, of course. The ground floor also has a washer and a dryer, so that you can pack light. In addition there’s a 2-car garage--no need to worry about parking--and of course the patio with the walkway to the beach.
No doubt you’ll be trotting back and forth on that walkway many times during your stay. The warm sands, sparkling with quartz, are perfect for everything from beachcombing to building castles. Whether you’re riding the waves or sprawled on a towel watching dolphins frolic in the water and the gulls soar overhead, you’ll feel far away from the everyday hustle and bustle.
But in actuality Dolphin Dunes is wonderfully close to the A1A, so you have easy access to St. Augustine, with its picturesque Old City; TPC Sawgrass, with two championship golf courses open to the public; Guana River State Park, home to a bevy of bird life and a popular spot for biking, hiking, canoeing, fishing, and kayaking; and shops, restaurants, and more.
Dolphin Dunes Beach House offers privacy, convenience, and accessibility—not to mention stunning ocean views. What more could you want from a vacation? So don’t wait; reserve your stay today.

The house was surprisingly comfy and nice. Looks better than the pictures. The house is perfect for 2 families. The house has beach toys, chairs and boogey boards, which was nice.
The only downside is the location on the highway. It can be tough trying to get out when cars are going 60 mph up and down the highway. The beach itself is so so. Full of broken shells and the sand is not so soft. The beach is very very short. At high tide, the water comes right up against the barrier.
Totally enjoyed our stay

This house has a BEAUTIFUL view all around the house!!! Loved the house! And our stay! Didn't want to go home hahaha. Owners do need to take care of bug issue.. Lots of large flies and other things. Also one side of house gets Freezing while other side gets warm- weird. But I did love this house! I would stay here again- wish price was a lil lower... Loved that it was private beach!

Only complaint is the traffic and noise from A1A.
Fabulous Ocean View near St Augustine & Ponte Vedra Beach Florida

Our family traveled to Florida specifically for my husband and son to attend the Players Golf Tournament. The Beach House could not have been any better for our needs. Location was wonderful, and the ocean front views and beach with total privacy from public access was exceptional. Everything about the experience with VacationRentalPros was spot on!

This property is absolutely beautiful. The ocean view could not be more picturesque. My only real concern is the road this property is situated on. S. Ponte Vedra Blvd is a straight away between Jacksonville and St. Augustine. There is a posted speed limit of 50 miles an hour leaving the driveway of this property. It is difficult to see to the left when leaving the driveway due to shrubery. Drivers routinely hit speeds in excess of 70 miles an hour passing the property. I could only hope that the city council in this area could do more about this. The road is very dangerous.

We had an absolutely wonderful time! Dolphin Dunes was everything we could hope for. The layout of the house was perfect. We were especially pleased that the deck had a roof so that even when we had thunderstorms in the afternoon we could sit outside. The location was great. We were only 15 minutes from St. Augustine and most of the time we had the beach to ourselves. The house was exactly as described, well maintained, clean and comfortable. We hope to stay again in the future.
Not Spoiled, Just Well Taken Care Of

Dolphin Dunes was not our originally planned rental but we were SO glad we ended up here! Shakiela at Vacation Rental Pros went out of her way to take care of us when our first rental went sour, she sent us to this house instead and it was heaven! Exactly what we were looking for on our vacation/house hunting stay in Jacksonville. The entire house was clean, obviously well cared for, odor free and had everything we needed. We enjoyed being right on the beach, watching and listening to the waves, having our own beach access, very few people going by, lots of space to spread out and it still felt cozy. Perfect location between Jax and St. Augustine, didn't take long to get anywhere we needed to go. For swimming we did opt to drive to St. Augustine Beach instead, the beach here at the house was just too steep and waves too big for our kids. But it was not a problem at all. We took a couple of the boogie boards with us and had a blast. If anything as far as improvements...a blender would be nice for the kitchen. Otherwise, fantastic and once we are living in Jax this will be a place we recommend to visiting friends and family. Thank you for everything!

great week. beautiful family room and deck made our stay awesome! a couple minor suggestions:
more towels (bath)
a grill would be really nice
a little noisy in bedrooms by road (not sure there is a fix for this)
fireplace did not work
some afghans/throws in family room would be nice for cool nites
thanks for a great stay

My family was here for a full week and I must say it's a great house with an outstanding view. Are there small issues with the house, some repairs or updatesneeded-Yes, but what house doesn't have those. Hard to keep a house in outstanding condition with the salt air. The bedrooms are a nice size, beds are fine, didn't expect Tempur-pedics. Gas fireplace in not operational, but I don't blame them to much of a risk with renters. The only major issue I had which is a big one, but easily remedied- the driveway view is blocked on the left side when pulling out on to A1A by overgrown bushes. This needs to be fixed immediately- it was a gamble every time we pulled out to go in either direction- the traffic moves FAST! Other than that we had a great stay, the beach is awesome.

In general good, traffic noise from highway could be a bit annoying. In need of new mattresses in bedrooms. Roomy, nice view of ocean, quiet. Great deck on ocean.
